Breathe...

So today, the first full day of Spring, my plan was to Breathe...

Between getting the one quilt I registrared for the quilt show finished, and finishing the commissioned clergy stole's, this has been a very "self induced" " stressed "desserts" kinda week.  I have a tendency to procrastinate so that is why I say self induced. I also tend to be very critical of my own work, and felt like the finished stole's weren't up to par.  That was not the reaction I got from the customer.  (Thank Heaven).  She loved everything I made for her, and now I can Breathe, and enjoy our quilt show.
Clergy Stole
I made two of these along with the ring bearer's pillow, and flower girls basket. http://quiltingnan.blogspot.com/2015/03/a-tisket-tasket I can now call them "done".

Candy Corn/South of the Border
This quit was finished on Wednesday, and I was super duper relieved to have this done in time to work on just the wedding items.  The stoles will be a gift to the Rev. and Pastor who will preform the wedding.

So now for me and you, happy piecing, happy sewing,

Sheila

A Tisket a Tasket

A Tisket a Tasket a coral and gray basket.  I haven't made wedding accessories in a long time, but let me tell you, I am having FUN.

Flower Girl Basket

Pillow and Basket
My Baby Girl is getting married in August this year, but the Church doesn't allow the flower petals, and there are three nephews who will be in the wedding so no ring bearers pillow.  But this is good pratice for other parts of her wedding.  The creative process has been good for me, getting out of my box, and exploring something I haven't done in a while.  FUN!

Happy piecing, happy quilting,
Sheila

Weddings

So I'm work on a ring bearers pillow.  I haven't thought about a wedding since 2003 when my beautiful first born daughter got married. Now my baby girl is planning a wedding in August 2015, but that is not the reason for this post.   A couple of weeks ago I meet a nice lady who is getting married in March.  I have made wedding accessories in my past life, and I mentioned this to said nice lady, and low and behold she wants me to make a few things for her.  Ring bearer pillow, flower girl basket, and Clergy Stole (which I have never made).  Pintrest is such a great sorce for anything you can think of.

So here is the pillow.  I love how it turned out.  I hope she likes it.  The basket is coming along.
The Clergy Stole's are well on the way to being finished.  EmbLibrary.com has an awesome free project for a Clergy stole.  I plan to get them all done by next weekend. Since I also need to finish my quilt show entry.  More pictures when all is finished.
Till then, Happy Piecing, Happy Sewing,
Sheila
