Hapy New Year! I haven't blogged since November 16th! A lot has happened in those two months, but it's too much to talk about here. I had a lovely Thanksgiving, and Christmas, and a fun New Year's Eve Celebration with our traditional New Year's Day (Good Luck Dinner). A friend from a previous lifetime contacted me via Facebook, and asked me if I would make her daughter a quilt. Pink and purple are her favorite colors. I've been having a hard time getting down to my sewing room, and when I do manage to sew it's not long before I need a break. But tonight I'm happy to report that I got the top finished!

I Spy in Pink, and Purple

This turned out bigger than I thought I was going to make, but I really like the way it did turn out.

This is what it started out as, but it just needed something. I had thought about turning the blocks into snowball blocks, but I'm glad I didn't go with that. What's left of all the fabric's I purchased for this quilt are going on the back. I'm trying to use and reduce my stash as much as I can this year. Wish me luck with that. Tomorrow is a new day, and I hope to get the back pieced, and get this baby pinned. Wish me luck on that one too!
Happy piecing, happy sewing.
